BIBLE CLASSES

Each week, we offer Bible Classes for all ages at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning and at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night.  Join us for this time together in God's Word.

On Sunday morning, there are Bible classes for newborns all the way up to our senior saints.  There are children's classes for each grade level and an area for our Youth Group, which is made up of 7th-12th graders.

Please see below for a list of our Adult Bible Classes.  All of our adult classes follow the same curriculum plan, but each class has it's own unique "personality".  With so many classes available, you're almost certain to find one that clicks with you!

On Wednesday night, adults are invited to join us in the Auditorium for Wednesday Night Live, where we share songs and scripture, and hear a lesson from God's word.  Classes are offered for all age levels of children.

On Sunday mornings, you can watch the Adult Bible Class held in the North Family Life Center (NFLC) on Facebook or YouTube.  Likewise, the Adult class is available online each Wednesday Night.  However you choose to join us, we are glad you are here!

Bible 101 is a ten-week study designed for seekers, new converts, and anyone else who would be interested in a refresher course in the basics of the Bible. The course is repeated every quarter throughout the year. This course provides participants with an “on-ramp” into the mainstream Sunday morning Adult Bible Classes. It is divided into three parts.

1. “Baptism” “What does the New Testament teach about baptism?” “Am I ready to be baptized?” “How do I go about being baptized at Pleasant Ridge?” These and related questions are the essence of this one session class focusing on the place of baptism in the beginning of the Christian life.

2. “Getting a Grip on the Bible” This unit offers the participant a high-level overview of the Bible. “What is the Bible, and what’s in it?” “Where did the Bible come from; who wrote it?” “What does it mean when people say that the Bible is inspired by God?” These are some of the questions that will be addressed in this four session, video-assisted unit.

3. “The One Story” The Bible 101 course concludes with this video-based unit. Even though the Bible is a very long composition, composed of multiple books written in several different literary genres, it actually tells one comprehensive story that runs like a golden thread through its pages. In five professionally produced video presentations, Robert Oglesby presents the story line of the Bible from the locations in modern-day Israel where the major historical events of the scriptures actually happened!
