Please remain aware of your surroundings as you enter and leave church related activities.   Also, please ensure you lock your cars and hide anything of value in the trunk rather than leaving these visible inside your vehicle which may be attractive for car thefts. Our area is seeing an increase of transient individuals near the church property.  If you encounter a suspicious party or feel unsafe, please call 911 or report these incidents to the church office so we are aware of these types of issues.  We have not had any relevant incidents on our property recently, but want our guests/members to be aware of these types of risks and take care.

 

This is also a reminder of our ongoing building access processes aimed at keeping us safe while minimizing the number of unsecured entry points into the building in accordance with Houses of Worship best practices.  These primary entry points into the building will be unlocked for class and worship as marked on the map (North entry at the Adult Education doors and North Auditorium doors. South entry at the Teacher supply room doors and South Auditorium doors).  On typical Sunday mornings, these doors open at 8:30 AM and, on Wednesday, thirty minutes prior to dinner or class time, typically at 5:30 PM.  The doors near the classroom wings (Adult Education/Teacher supply room) will be secured 15-20 minutes after class begins.  The Auditorium doors will be secured once the communion has been served during normal worship.  Our off-duty police officers will be on duty (Sunday mornings) and available in these areas to offer any support needed. 

 

Additionally, we have a dedicated team of volunteers that serve PR every Sunday with a security/safety focus behind the scenes.  Each of these team members who are active or former law enforcement or have other specialized experience, wear a pin with Eph 6 inscribed "...the whole armor of God...", and we are all dedicated to offering each guest/member of PR a safe and secure experience while on our property.  We collaborate with our law enforcement resources to be informed and aware of any relevant security related concerns, issues or intelligence that can assist us in serving PR.   We appreciate your ongoing understanding and support for our team as we honor and glorify God in this place.
