The Ridge Gang
Ryan first came to Pleasant Ridge as a teenager in 1991. After high school, he received a Bachelor of Science in Bible and Master of Arts in Ministry from Oklahoma Christian University. He then began his preaching career in Oklahoma. Ryan returned to Pleasant Ridge in November of 2008 as the Preaching Minister. His wife Maggie, a Kindergarten teacher, is an extremely valuable part of his ministry. Ryan and Maggie have two children; a daughter, Maisy; and a son, Weaver. In his spare time, Ryan loves traveling with his family. They are on a quest to visit all 50 states together, having already made it to 46. Ryan's greatest desire in ministry is for God to speak through him. In fact, he prays for just that before every sermon he preaches.

Lou Ann joined our ministry staff as the Children's Minister in May of 2008. Prior to being our Children's Minister, she spent over ten years working as a social worker, spent over 25 years as a Bible school teacher, and volunteered in Children's Ministry for fifteen years. She graduated from Abilene Christian University with a B.S. in Psychology and did graduate work from the University of North Texas in Development and Family Studies. Though Lou Ann has only been officially on staff since 2008, she is no stranger to Pleasant Ridge. Her family has attended Pleasant Ridge/Glen Garden her entire life. She met her husband, Randy, in the youth group here at Pleasant Ridge. They've been married since 1982 and have four wonderful children, three of whom are married. They have one beautiful granddaughter and one handsome grandson. We are thrilled to have Lou Ann working with our families and our children. Her passion for the Lord, and desire to teach our younger families about the love of Christ makes her a wonderful asset to our ministry team.
Senior Adult Minister
Pat and Carol Malone are both natives of Waco, Texas. They married August 24, 1962, have two adult children (Shara, who lives in Temple, and Lance who is a deacon at PRCC), and eight grandchildren. Pat is a graduate of Baylor University class of 1964. He has served as a full-time minister since October 1, 1962 and has been a staff minister at PRCC since June 13, 1966. He was ordained an elder of the congregation in May 1984. Pat has served in several ministry roles during the years, and since July 1, 2008, his focus has been our senior adult members, serving as Senior Adult Minister. An avid hunter and fisherman, he is also a licensed poultry judge, judging at twelve to fifteen fairs and club shows each year all over the USA (including Alaska), Canada, and the queen summoned him to Bermuda in 2004 to judge for her subjects. He was elected to two terms as the 40th president of the American Poultry Association, the oldest continuous livestock organization in North America. Carol is a plant person, big plants and little plants, indoor plants and outdoor plants. If she can't make it grow, no one can. She retired as Office manager at PRCC on May 1st, 2008, but is still involved in a number of PRCC ministries. The Malones will be quick to tell you that their pride and joy, their main focus, is their grandchildren, four in Temple, three here in Arlington, and one in heaven.
Dean Willis as Worship Minister on August 10, 2015. Dean is a graduate of Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. While at ACU, he was the lead role in many operas including Amahl and the Night Visitors and Carmen. His opera path continued as he went on to perform the role of The Angel in the world premiere of A New Nation, performed the title role in The Marriage of Figaro, and was awarded 2nd place in the graduate division of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. However, God had a different plan for him. Dean began studies at SMU and had the opportunity to lead worship each week in Ennis, Texas in the church at which he grew up. During his two years in that congregation, it became obvious to him that leading worship was what God had planned for him. He has been privileged to attend Keith Lancaster's Praise and Harmony workshops as well as his annual Worship Leader Institute.
Kristen, his better half, also graduated from ACU with a BM in Vocal Music Education. She has taught elementary school and is currently teaching junior high choir. Dean and Kristen have a beautiful little girl, Chloe, and also share their home with two dogs: Liam and Nala.
Dean believes whole-heartedly that "Singing isn't for singers. Singing is for believers!"
