Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ

One person at a time

Pleasant Ridge Vision

Our vision is for Pleasant Ridge to be a church where lives are changed—one person at a time.  From an increased focus on caring for the spiritual needs of each member, to the creation of new opportunities for all of our members to connect in significant relationships, we will be committed to the importance of the “one”.  The value of the “one” will become a driving force in everything we do, and the importance that each individual feels as a member of our church will translate into tremendous energy and growth.

Our vision is that missions at Pleasant Ridge will no longer be seen as something done by a select few across the country or around the world.  Instead, every member will embrace an individual responsibility to serve others and share the story of Christ in their own backyards.  We envision 80% of our members involved in ministry in the church, in our community, and around the world.  The other 20% will be recharging for future ministry opportunities.  We believe many ministries and non-profit organizations will be developed by our members that put hands and feet to the story of Christ.  Ministries that once existed only within the walls of our building will one day be offered in apartment complexes and community centers across town.  Our members’ involvement in our community will make us known as a church that serves those in need.  We envision an acceptance and care for every individual that broadens the diversity of our congregation and increase the impact of our Cross-Cultural Ministry.  We expect to see an amazing new growth trend as a result of the impact our members will have in the Arlington area.

Our vision for Pleasant Ridge is that our focus on “one person at a time” will produce deeper relationships within our church and community as we build relational components into everything we do.  Weekly small groups will provide another opportunity for our members to find relationships that challenge them to grow and mature in their faith.  More new members will connect with our church through our small groups as members reach out to those around them.  Nothing will embody the importance of the “one” more than ensuring that every member finds a place to belong.

Our vision is that Pleasant Ridge will become an outward-focused church, creating a level of excitement and unity that far exceeds our expectations.  There will be a new energy in our worship, a constant “buzz” around our facilities, and a positive, loving atmosphere surrounding everything we do.  We envision people coming, growing, and going to make a difference in the world for Christ.
