Kids for Christ Ministry
What is KFC?
KFC (Kids for Christ) is a ministry specifically targeted for our 3rd through 6th graders. This ministry seeks to help build peer relationships with one another, offer monthly activities that provide opportunities for spiritual growth and service to our elementary students.
Monthly Activities
Twice a year our KFC parents gather together for a PSP (Parents Supporting Parents) meeting to discuss the next 6 months of activities. Typically, there is an activity each month. Activities vary from month to month depending on the time of year and most pressing needs of our elementary students. Activities range from Christmas parties to service projects to family skating parties which all seek to support the KFC purpose.
KFC Rally
Every August, Pleasant Ridge hosts an area wide rally for all 3rd though 6th graders. This is a one Saturday in mid to late August that consists of age appropriate classes, singing, entertainment and a special class focusing on the year’s theme. This is an amazing Saturday that helps begin another school year on the right foot focusing on God. More information for the KFC Rally, including registration, can be found HERE.
Leadership
The KFC leadership team works to help promote the spiritual growth of our 3rd through 6th graders. The KFC leadership team consists of four deacons and their wives and our youth minister and his wife.
